What We Do

Crisci & Mayer, Consultation, Counselling and Training provides assessment-based treatment to all age groups for a wide variety of difficulties such as trauma experiences, relationship concerns, depression and anxiety, self harm issues, adjustment to change, illness and loss. We provide individual, couple and family therapy/psychotherapy.

We also provide services for professionals who are dealing with workplace stress and secondary trauma. As well, we provide counselling, consultation, and training to groups and organizations within our community, and throughout Canada and the United States.

We specialize in trauma assessment and treatment, sexualized behaviour problems in children, the effects of witnessing violence, sibling sexual abuse, and effects of early trauma on development. We specialize in the assessment of very young children.

Toronto Hostel Training Centre – This Spring and Summer Nancy Mayer continues her long-standing relationship with the Training Centre and will be teaching courses on The Impact of Trauma, Introduction to Supervision Skills, Values, Ethics and Boundaries Training for Supervisors and Managers.

The staff of Catholic Community Services of York Region will be trained by Nancy in Values, Ethics and Boundaries March 5th, 2010.

This year’s ISAP Conference for Settlement workers, sponsored by Citizenship and Immigration Canada will be held at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto March 9 – 11 and March 30 – April 1. There will be 800 in attendance. Nancy Mayer will present workshops on Supervision with attention to helping supervisors with the challenge of supervising off site workers.

CultureLink Settlement Services in Toronto is having Nancy provide advanced training in Supervision Skills for their management staff on April 21, 2010.

Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA) is holding its State wide conference in May 2010. Nancy Mayer will be delivering the Conference’s closing Plenary Address.
