Nancy graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from the University of Windsor and holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto. She is a Registered Social Worker. Her career has included work as a child and youth worker, specialized foster parent, child protection, hospital based and psychiatric social work, children’s mental health as well as experience in family services. For over 30 years she has developed her expertise as a clinician, supervisor, trainer and consultant in the areas of child sexual abuse, adult survivors of trauma, secondary trauma, clergy misconduct and abuse, workplace issues, clinical supervision and organizational change.
Nancy has a rich history of experience in management in unionized and non-unionized settings, program planning, clinical supervision and clinical practice. She has been a field instructor in the Faculties of Social Work at the University of Toronto, Wilfred Laurier, York and Windsor. She provides clinical consultation for a number of mental health agencies and she has provided consultation and training to a wide variety of social service agencies. Nancy also leads a monthly consultation group for professionals working with trauma cases.
Nancy provides services to individuals, couples and families; specialized services to adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, illness or loss, and adults and adolescents who self injure. She provides general as well as sexual trauma assessments, assessment and treatment services for sibling incest.
